Rabun County Fair Events Schedule Offers Fun For the Whole Family

This year's Rabun County Fair is set to kick off August 25th, and there are so many fun activities to explore, including Tractor Pulls, Cattle Shows, and more.

Below is the schedule of events to look forward to. 

4-H Kids Corner

On exhibit throughout the fair.

Thursday, August 25th:

4:00-8:00 pm:         fun                   Lego table fun time - recommended 2 and up

5:00 pm:                 craft                  Make wooden goat spoon

7:00 pm:                 contest             Wooden turtle races 


Friday, August 26th 

4:00-8:00 pm:         Fun                  Lego table fun time - recommended 2 and up

5:00 pm:                 Craft                 Making pigs - 13 and under 

7:00 pm:                 Contest             Lasso clover our wooden 4-H cow


Saturday, August 27th

9:00am-4:00 pm:     fun                   Lego table fun time - recommended 2 and up 

11:00 am:                Craft                 Making sheep- 3 (with help)-13

1:00 pm:                  Craft                  Making cow puppets- 10 and under

2:00 pm:                  Contest             Build the best Lego barn or tractor contest- 9 and under 

2:00 pm:                  Contest            Biggest Pumpkin Contest- Turn in pumpkins on 

3:00 pm:                  Art/craft             Make paper plate chicken craft- 10 and under

4:00 pm:                  Contest              Eggs and spoon race- all ages

Wednesday, August 24th

1:00-6:00 pm:     Accepting all exhibit items (ie, quilts, flowers, can foods, art work, photography, crafts, and vegetables.) 


Thursday, August 25th

12:00-4:00 pm:   Check in for goats

3:00 pm:             Gates Open

5:00 pm:             Fair Opening Ceremony 

6:00 pm:             Goat Show


Friday, August 26th 

Rabun County Farm Bureau, Sponsored Farm Day Primary Students.

3:00 pm:             Gates Open 

5:00 pm:             Fair Opening Ceremony

6:00 pm:             Hog Show

Saturday, August 27th

6:00 am:               Gates Open

9:30 am:               Fair Opening Ceremony

10:30 am:             Cattle Show

11:00 am:              Doughnut Eating Contest

11:30 am:              Cake Judging

1:00 pm:                Hot Wing Eating Contest 

1:30 pm:                Jello Slurp (ages 5-10)

2:00 pm:                Pickled Okra Eating Contest

3:00 pm:                Little Tractor Pull

7:00 pm:                Intermission/Entertainment

7:30 pm:               Truck/Tractor Pull
