Greenville Chamber's 2018 ATHENA Leadership Symposium

Presented by BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, the Symposium will feature keynote speaker Jodie W. McLean, chief executive officer of EDENS, one of the nation’s leading private-owner, operators and developers of retail real estate.

With a more than 25-year tenure at EDENS, Jodie McLean has established herself as a key player in the company’s growth and expansion to its current marketplace leadership, capitalized by blue chip investors and assets valued at $6.2 billion. Overall, she has been responsible for the development, redevelopment, acquisition and disposition of more than $12 billion in retail assets.

In addition, the fifth annual ATHENA Organizational Leadership Award will be presented to honor an organization excelling in support and development of women leaders.

The ATHENA Leadership Symposium is one of the Greenville Chamber’s primary efforts to advance women’s leadership. It is inspired by recipients of the ATHENA Leadership Award, which is presented each year at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting to women who have made significant contributions to Greenville in promoting community prosperity and quality of life.
