Join the Rangers at the Sassafrass Trail head to delve into the folk roots of the Piedmont Region. We will walk to an old homestead, all the while sharing the stories of those that came before us along the way. Be sure to bring sturdy shoes, water, and snacks.

We will meet at the Park office.

The event is free of charge, but a $5 parking fee is required for entry into the park. The walk is around three quarters of a mile totaling 1.5 miles round trip.
