Dahlonega Wine Trail Weekend 2016
No need to hop on a plane to California, France or Italy to savor award-winning wines – Dahlonega is home to Georgia’s own highly acclaimed wine country and has applied for an official designation as the Dahlonega Plateau, a unique viticultural area at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Now visitors can enjoy a weekend of tastings at all six Lumpkin County wineries during the annual Dahlonega Wine Trail weekend passport event. For just $35, oenophiles and vino novices can enjoy weekend long festivities and music at Dahlonega’s unique vineyards. Passports can be obtained at the Dahlonega Visitors Center, or ordered online at www.Dahlonega.org. On the website, find bed and breakfasts, mountain cabins and other accommodations, plus transportation by Mama’s Taxi, that help make for a safe and fun weekend.
