Your State Parks Day: Trailblazers Wanted

Celebrate this annual day of service at 60 treasures across Georgia. Join others in projects such as butterfly gardens, invasive plant removal and trail cleanups. Free admission and parking for volunteers is sponsored by Friends of Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites. It’s all part of National Public Lands Day! Want to spend a day up in the higher elevations, surrounded by nature and helping to improve the trails on Black Rock Mountain? Join our trailblazing crew to help in repainting the blazes on the Tennessee Rock Trail. Be sure to wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring a hat and water. All volunteers will be granted free admission to the Park and receive a unique State Parks Day T-shirt. Call Black Rock Mountain State Park 706-746-2141 to register and give your shirt size. Parking fee: $5 Event Phone: 706-746-2141
