Your State Parks Day: Lake Lanier Shore Sweep

Celebrate this annual day of service at 60 treasures across Georgia. Join others in projects such as butterfly gardens, invasive plant removal and trail cleanups. Free admission and parking for volunteers is sponsored by Friends of Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites. It’s all part of National Public Lands Day! Join Lake Lanier Association's annual Shore Sweep. This event is organized for the benefit of Lake Lanier and all who enjoy its beauty. In past years Shore Sweep has had over 1,000 volunteers. Wear gloves and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Meet at the park office.
